What your site actually needs to do.

  • 01

The phone rings while both hands are under a hood. The caller wanted a smog check today, got voicemail, and booked the shop two blocks down.

  • 02

Customers cannot tell an honest independent from the one that pads every invoice, so they default to the dealer or the chain with the bigger sign.

  • 03

A car sits on the lift waiting on approval for a $600 repair, and the owner is not answering because the shop’s number looks like spam.

What we build for auto repair shops.

  • Appointment requests that qualify. Year, make, model, the symptom, and a preferred drop-off window arrive as a text before the car does.
  • A service menu with honest ranges. Oil changes, brakes, smog checks, diagnostics, and timing belts, each with a starting price you set and the caveats written plainly.
  • Bureau of Automotive Repair details on every page. Your ARD registration, smog station license, and STAR status shown and linked to the BAR lookup.
  • Status texts while the car is in the bay. Diagnosis in, estimate sent, approved, done, ready for pickup, each one a text with a link to approve or call.
  • Review requests at pickup. The customer gets the review link the hour the car leaves, and the ones that come in show on the site the same day.
  • Smog and brake ads with a cap. Search ads for smog checks and brake jobs on your own billing, tracked to the appointment request, paused the day they stop paying.

A driver with a check engine light does not research shops. They search, read the first three results, look at the star rating and the hours, and call one. Your site has to answer three questions in the first screen: are you open, do you do this repair, and can I get in today. The phone number is the largest thing on the page and the appointment request is one tap below it.

The Bureau of Automotive Repair is the reason a real shop can beat a chain online. Your ARD registration number, your smog check license, your STAR certification if you hold it, and your ASE certifications sit in the header and next to every call to action, linked to the BAR lookup. A service menu with starting prices, the way BAR’s own consumer guidance describes an honest estimate, does more for trust than any slogan.

The work after the car arrives is where shops lose time. The site connects to a status flow: the customer gets a text when the diagnosis is in, an estimate with a link to approve it, a text when the car is ready. Nobody chases a customer for approval on a $900 repair by voicemail. Fleet accounts, EV and hybrid service, and body work each get their own page so the right customer lands on the right one.

Then the search layer. Smog checks, brakes, and check engine diagnostics get their own pages, written so Google ranks them for your city and an AI assistant quotes them when someone asks where to take a car. Your Google Business Profile is set up with the right categories and hours, reviews flow back to the site, and the whole thing is indexed and verified before you approve it.
