How Orange County hires.

Orange County fitness runs on the strip mall and the business park. Yoga, barre, and Pilates take the retail centers on 17th Street in Costa Mesa, along PCH through Newport Beach and Huntington Beach, and in the downtowns of Fullerton and Orange. CrossFit boxes and strength gyms take the industrial units in Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, and south county, where a warehouse with a roll-up door beats a storefront.

Thirty-four cities means thirty-four business license counters, and a studio that opens a second location in Tustin repeats what it did in Orange. The customer is a homeowner with a car, an HOA, and a fixed routine, and the site has to fit that routine: book from the driveway, park for free, be out in an hour.

Knowing Orange County

Orange County is thirty-four cities pretending to be one place, laced together by Beach Boulevard, Harbor Boulevard, and the 5 and 405 corridors. Each city keeps its own permit counter and its own rules, so a contractor working countywide juggles a different process in Fullerton than in Mission Viejo.

The county’s defining features for home services are the slab foundation, the HOA, and the water district rebate. Between them they shape what breaks, what needs approval, and what gets subsidized.

Franchises and private-equity-backed service brands blanket the county with ads, which raises what homeowners expect a legitimate company’s website to look like. Those brands cannot sound local, because they are not.

Areas we cover

Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Orange, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Garden Grove, Tustin.

Most OC housing is slab-on-grade tract construction from the 1960s through 1990s, and HOAs have real authority over exterior work.

What your site actually needs to do.

  • 01

The schedule lives in Mindbody or a spreadsheet, the site links out to it, and half the people who tap the link never make it to a booked class.

  • 02

Intro offers get sold in DMs. Instagram brings the interest, then the follow-up dies in a message thread the moment the front desk gets busy.

  • 03

Members lapse quietly. Nobody notices a three-week absence until the cancellation email arrives.

What we build for fitness studios.

  • Live schedule on your domain. Classes, coaches, times, and spots left pulled from your scheduling software, with a book button that finishes on the same screen.
  • Intro offer pages. One page per offer with the price, what it includes, and a checkout that creates the account and books the first class without a call.
  • Instructor pages. A page for each coach with their classes and a book link, so the person a member follows on Instagram is one tap from a class.
  • Member app. Schedule, waitlists, class history, and billing on a home screen icon, no app store.
  • Reminder and win-back texts. A reminder before class, a text when a waitlist spot opens, and a message in your words to a member who has not checked in for two weeks.
  • Search and ads for the offer. A page for each class type and each city you draw from, and campaigns that land on the offer page instead of the homepage.

What that looks like in Orange County.

The Surf City Marathon in February and the OC Marathon in May set the training calendar for the coast, and the Back Bay loop in Newport is where the miles get done. Training programs with a start date and a group page fill from those dates. Summer moves the same people to 6am, before the heat and the beach traffic.

LA Fitness is headquartered in Irvine, 24 Hour Fitness and Equinox cover the coast, and Orangetheory, F45, and Club Pilates fill the franchise slots in nearly every center. Their sites are one template across the county. A studio site written around your city, your center, and your coaches is the only result that sounds like it is from there.

Much of the county lives in HOAs with a pool and a gym included in the dues, which is the real competition for a general-purpose gym. The independent studio wins with what the HOA room does not have: a coach, a class, a program, a community. The site sells those, not the equipment.

One site, one page per location, each with its own schedule, staff, parking note, and address. Google treats each page as a local result for its city, and members see only the location they use.
